Jean Foillard’s Fleurie is a beautifully expressive Beaujolais red that captures the purity and charm of 100% Gamay from one of the region’s most respected natural-minded producers. Sourced from old vines and made with a minimalist approach, it reflects both Fleurie’s floral elegance and Foillard’s long-standing commitment to traditional, low-intervention winemaking.

Tasting Notes
Pale ruby in the glass, this wine is light in appearance but full of character. The nose opens with bright red fruit aromas, lifted by delicate notes of violet and thyme that give it a fragrant, almost ethereal profile. On the palate, it is fresh, supple, and impressively persistent, with juicy fruit and a refined, graceful texture. Its balance and energy make it delicious young, though it can also develop added nuance over the next few years.

Production
Jean Foillard works in the spirit of Jules Chauvet, with a philosophy rooted in old vines, late harvesting, and careful grape selection. In the vineyard, he avoids synthetic herbicides and pesticides, and in the cellar he limits intervention by using little to no added sulfur, while also avoiding chaptalization and filtration.

This Fleurie is a natural match for roast chicken, charcuterie, mushroom dishes, grilled salmon, or classic French bistro fare. Serve slightly chilled, around 14–16°C, and decanting is optional but can help open up its aromatic complexity if enjoyed young.
