Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a bright ruby color with a translucent, elegant hue. The nose is fresh and expressive, with red berries, violets, peony, and a subtle earthy-spicy edge that reflects the cru’s granite soils. On the palate, expect juicy raspberry, wild strawberry, and cranberry notes carried by lively acidity and fine tannins. The texture is delicate yet persistent, with a clean mineral finish and enough structure to develop beautifully over the next few years, though it can also be enjoyed young for its vibrant fruit.

Chiroubles sits at one of the highest elevations in Beaujolais, where granite-rich soils and cooler temperatures help preserve freshness and aromatic detail. Lafarge-Vial is known for attentive, low-intervention farming and careful hand-harvesting, allowing the vineyard character to remain at the forefront.
