Tasting Notes
The 2020 vintage shows an inviting, youthful brilliance in the glass, with a deep ruby color that hints at its concentration. Aromatically, it opens with floral notes, crushed stone, and ripe cherry fruit, giving it a lifted and distinctly Rhône-like profile. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied yet impressively silky, with generous red and dark fruit framed by savory spice and a fresh mineral edge. It is approachable now thanks to its supple texture, but it also has the structure to age gracefully for at least another decade, gaining additional complexity with time.

Production
Coudoulet de Beaucastel comes from vineyard sites just outside the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, where the soils and climate closely resemble those of the estate’s flagship terroir. The blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah, and Carignan is vinified to preserve purity of fruit, finesse, and the rounded texture that defines the cuvée, with harvest and cellar work aimed at maintaining freshness and balance.

Food & Serving
This is a versatile red for the table, pairing especially well with grilled lamb, roast chicken, Provençal vegetables, ratatouille, and dishes with herbs de Provence or mild spice. Serve it slightly cool, around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 30–60 minutes if opening young, to allow the aromas and texture to fully open.
