Tasting Notes
Deep ruby in the glass, this wine opens with an expressive nose of black cherry, blackberry, dried herbs, smoked notes, leather, and the signature garrigue of the southern Rhône. With time in the glass, more layers emerge, including hints of lavender, rosemary, thyme, and warm spice. The palate is full-bodied and richly textured, yet kept in balance by fresh acidity and polished tannins. Mourvèdre and Grenache provide dark fruit, structure, and depth, while the blend as a whole brings complexity and length. Built to age beautifully, the Magnum format offers especially strong development potential over the next 10–20 years.

Produced in Châteauneuf-du-Pape in the southern Rhône, Château de Beaucastel benefits from a terroir of rounded stones, sun-drenched slopes, and the aromatic scrubland that shapes the region’s distinctive profile. The estate is known for working with all 13 permitted grape varieties in the appellation, with careful harvesting and traditional vinification that preserve freshness, structure, and site expression.

Food & Serving
This is an ideal match for roasted lamb, game, beef short ribs, duck confit, or richly flavored Mediterranean dishes such as herb-crusted vegetables and grilled meats. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 1–2 hours when drinking young to allow the aromatics and structure to open fully.
