Zenato’s Santa Cristina Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 is a polished and characterful red from Garda, combining Cabernet Sauvignon with a touch of Cabernet Franc for added depth and lift. Born from one of Veneto’s most respected family estates, it reflects Zenato’s long-standing commitment to meticulous vineyard work and elegant, expressive wines.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep garnet-red colour with impressive density and intensity. The nose is complex and persistent, with layers of red and ripe fruit, jammy notes, vanilla, spice, and a subtle herbal edge. On the palate, the wine is marked by a pleasant, well-integrated sweetness balanced by notes of sage and green pepper. The finish is long and aromatic, with the structure and balance to develop further with short- to medium-term cellaring.

Production
The grapes for this Cabernet are hand-selected to ensure only the ripest and best bunches are used, a careful approach that underlines the quality focus at Zenato’s Santa Cristina estate. The wine is aged for 15–18 months in oak barrels, followed by 3 months in tank to settle, and then a further 6 months in bottle before release.

Food & Serving
This is a versatile Cabernet Sauvignon that pairs well with grilled or roasted red meats, braised dishes, mature cheeses, and herb-forward Mediterranean cuisine. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decanting for 30–60 minutes is recommended to let the wine fully open.
