Weingut Prinz von Hessen’s Rheingau Hessenstein Riesling Trocken 2024 is a refreshing, dry Riesling that combines lively fruit with a poised, harmonious style. Produced in Johannisberg, one of the Rheingau’s most celebrated wine villages, it reflects the region’s long-standing reputation for elegant, distinctive Rieslings. Tasting Notes
Bright and inviting in the glass, this dry Riesling opens with expressive aromas of zesty citrus, crisp green apple and delicate red-fleshed peach. On the palate, it is fresh and balanced, with vibrant fruit, a clean texture and a harmonious finish. Pleasantly versatile, it is best enjoyed in its youth for maximum freshness, while careful short-term cellaring should allow additional aromatic complexity to develop.

Production
The wine comes from the Rheingau, a historic Riesling region situated around the 50th parallel, where the grape finds particularly favourable growing conditions. Riesling accounts for approximately 95% of Weingut Prinz von Hessen’s plantings. After harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed, and fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks to preserve the variety’s fresh, expressive fruit aromas.

Food & Serving
A versatile partner for seafood, sushi, shellfish, fresh salads and light poultry dishes, this Riesling also works well with goat’s cheese and mildly spiced Asian cuisine. Serve chilled at approximately 8–10°C. Decanting is not normally necessary; simply opening the bottle shortly before serving will allow its citrus and orchard-fruit aromas to emerge.
