Weingut P.J. Kühn’s Riesling Jacobus Bio is a vibrant, characterful Rheingau white that goes well beyond the idea of a simple estate wine. Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Riesling typically shows a bright, clear color with a lively sheen and a very inviting freshness. The nose is classic yet individual: juicy citrus, green apple, white peach, and delicate herbal and floral nuances, all carried by a cool mineral edge. On the palate, it is elegant and focused, balancing ripe fruit with lively acidity and a clean, precise finish. Even in warmer vintages, Kühn’s Rieslings are known for preserving freshness, and Jacobus has the structure and purity to develop gracefully over the next few years.

Production
The grapes come from several parcels in Oestrich and Winkel in the Rheingau, where the vineyards have been farmed biodynamically for nearly two decades. The fruit is harvested by hand and pressed very gently and slowly to preserve freshness and purity. Fermentation takes place spontaneously, in line with the estate’s natural, low-intervention philosophy.

Food & Serving
This is a versatile food wine that works especially well with light seafood dishes, sushi, grilled fish, salads, asparagus, and fresh goat’s cheese. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C; decanting is not necessary, though a short period in the glass can help the wine open up.
