Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Beerenauslese shows a luminous golden hue, hinting at its richness and concentration. The nose is extraordinarily expressive, with layers of yellow peach, pineapple, nutmeg, whipped cream, flower honey, and a distinct stony, flinty edge. On the palate, it is creamy and silken, yet never heavy, carried by vibrant acidity and precise mineral tension that keep the sweetness beautifully in check. The finish is endless, elegant, and saline-laced, suggesting excellent aging potential for many years, even decades, as the wine continues to unfold in complexity.

Production
Produced from Riesling grown in the steep slate vineyards of Zeltinger Sonnenuhr in the Mosel, the wine reflects a cool-climate terroir known for its exceptional minerality and natural acidity. Beerenauslese is made from individually selected, botrytized grapes harvested at very high ripeness, resulting in extreme concentration and a naturally sweet style. Vinification is carried out with great care to preserve purity, precision, and the vineyard’s signature slate-tinged character.

Food & Serving
Best served lightly chilled at around 8–10°C, this wine is superb with blue cheese, foie gras, fruit-based desserts, or simply enjoyed on its own as a contemplative after-dinner wine. Decanting is generally not necessary, though a short period in the glass can help reveal its full aromatic spectrum.
