Sourced from 60-year-old vines on the steep slopes of Zellerberg and Blattenberg, it reflects both a classic Mosel style and the energy of one of the region’s most exciting young producers.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a beautiful golden hue that hints at its ripe, expressive character. The nose opens with mirabelle, mango, citrus, apple, white currant, and a gentle thread of herbs. On the palate, this is a remarkably complex Riesling with a finely judged balance between sweetness and acidity. It finishes dry, fruit-driven, and impressively long. Despite its already high level of charm and precision, it has the structure and concentration to age beautifully for up to 15 years.

Production
The grapes come from old Riesling vines planted on the steep, slate-rich slopes of Zellerberg and Blattenberg in the Mosel. The combination of cool climate, mineral soils, and demanding hillside sites gives the wine its tension, purity, and distinctly Mosel character. Viticulture is carried out largely by hand, as the steep terrain leaves no room for machinery. The estate works with minimal intervention in both vineyard and cellar, allowing the fruit and terroir to speak clearly in the finished wine.

This Feinherb Riesling is a versatile partner at the table and works especially well with dishes that balance richness and freshness, such as spicy Asian cuisine, pork, roast poultry, or saltier cheeses. Weingut Lenhardt is a rising Mosel estate led by siblings Christian and Eva Lenhardt, who have quickly earned attention for their thoughtful, high-quality wines.
