Weingut Knipser Laumersheim Sekt Brut Nature is a refined German sparkling wine made in the traditional bottle-fermented method. Its elegant combination of mature citrus, subtle brioche and lively freshness is complemented by an exceptionally dry Brut Nature style. Produced by the Knipser family, whose winery has been established in Laumersheim since 1876, it reflects a long-standing commitment to quality and precision.

Tasting Notes
The wine opens with a delicate, polished mousse and an elegant nose of ripe citrus fruits, complemented by a discreet hint of brioche from its extended time on the lees. On the palate, it is beautifully fresh and juicy, with fine bubbles and a dry, clean profile typical of Brut Nature wines. The finish is refreshing and persistent, making it particularly enjoyable when young while also offering the complexity gained from its two years of lees ageing.

Production
The grapes are sourced from Weingut Knipser’s vineyards around Laumersheim, Großkarlbach and Dirmstein in the northern Vorderpfalz. The wine is made according to the traditional method, with a second fermentation taking place in bottle, followed by two years of ageing on the lees before dégorgement. Fermentation is carefully managed to preserve the wine’s natural fruit character, and the Brut Nature style allows the freshness and purity of the base wine to remain at the forefront.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled at approximately 8–10°C. This dry, refreshing Sekt is an excellent aperitif and pairs naturally with oysters, shellfish, sushi, smoked salmon and delicate seafood dishes. Its citrus-driven freshness also works well with soft goat’s cheese and light poultry dishes. Decanting is not recommended; serve directly from the bottle to preserve the fine mousse.

Producer
Founded in 1876, Weingut Knipser is a family-run estate based in Laumersheim, in the northern part of the Vorderpfalz between Grünstadt and Bad Dürkheim. Heinz Knipser was among the region’s early estate bottlers, beginning to bottle wine in 1948. Today, Volker and Werner Knipser manage approximately 75 hectares and have helped shape the estate’s modern identity since the mid-1980s through barrique maturation, a greater focus on red wines and the planting of both classic regional and international grape varieties.
