Weingut Knipser has been a family-run estate in Laumersheim since 1876 and today farms approximately 75 hectares across Laumersheim, Großkarlbach and Dirmstein. Heinz Knipser was among the region’s early estate bottlers, beginning to bottle wine in 1948. In the mid-1980s, the current owners, Volker and Werner Knipser, expanded the winery’s work with barriques, increased its focus on red wines and planted both classic regional and international varieties. The estate is widely regarded as one of the leading producers of the Pfalz.
