Founded in Laumersheim in 1876, Weingut Knipser is a prominent family-run estate in the northern Vorderpfalz, with vineyards in Laumersheim, Großkarlbach and Dirmstein covering approximately 75 hectares. Heinz Knipser was among the area’s early estate bottlers, beginning to bottle wine in 1948. Since the mid-1980s, the current owners, Volker and Werner Knipser, have expanded the winery’s use of barriques, increased its focus on red wines and combined classic regional varieties with selected international grapes.
