Weingut Knipser’s Laumersheim Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature is a refined German sparkling wine made in the traditional bottle-fermented method. Its extended three-year ageing on the lees and zero dosage give it a particularly dry, precise style, balancing mature citrus character with elegant brioche and mineral notes.

Tasting Notes
Pale golden in appearance, it shows a fine, persistent mousse. The nose combines ripe citrus fruits with delicate aromas of freshly baked brioche, while subtle white-flower notes add lift and elegance. On the palate, it is slender and mineral-driven, with flavours of apricot, lemon and white flowers carried by fresh acidity and a dry, focused finish. With its Brut Nature profile and excellent structural freshness, the wine is best enjoyed in its youthful, precise phase, but the extended lees ageing gives it enough complexity to develop further over the next few years when carefully stored.

Production
Produced in and around Laumersheim in Germany’s Pfalz region, the wine reflects the area’s relatively warm climate and mineral character. It is made according to the traditional method, with a second fermentation in bottle followed by approximately three years of ageing on the lees. The wine is finished without dosage, allowing its natural fruit, acidity and mineral expression to take centre stage.

Food & Serving
A versatile aperitif, this Blanc de Blancs pairs beautifully with oysters, shellfish, sushi, smoked trout and fresh seafood dishes. Its dry, mineral style also complements goat’s cheese, lightly seasoned poultry and delicate vegetable dishes. Serve well chilled at around 8–10°C. Decanting is not recommended; pour gently into narrow sparkling-wine glasses to preserve the fine bubbles and aromatic detail.
