Tasting Notes
Bright and inviting in the glass, this Sauvignon Blanc opens with aromas of ripe gooseberry, citrus and a subtle touch of exotic fruit. Its clean, precise structure makes it enjoyable in its youth, while the freshness and concentration should allow it to develop additional complexity over the next few years when properly stored.

Production
The grapes come from the hilly vineyards around Gamlitz in Südsteiermark, a region known for its distinctive mineral-rich soils and fresh, expressive white wines. The fruit is harvested by hand before being gently vinified and fermented in stainless-steel tanks, where the wine is also matured. This low-intervention approach preserves the purity of the fruit, the vintage character and the individual expression of the terroir.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled at approximately 8–10°C. Its vibrant freshness and mineral character make it a natural match for grilled fish, seafood, sushi, fresh goat’s cheese, asparagus and salads with citrus-based dressings. It also pairs well with lighter poultry dishes and vegetable-focused cuisine. Decanting is not necessary, although allowing the wine to breathe briefly in the glass can reveal more of its aromatic detail.

Weingut Hannes Sabathi is a family estate based in Gamlitz, in the heart of Südsteiermark. The Sabathi family farms around 70 hectares of vineyards, with Hannes Sabathi placing particular emphasis on individual vineyard expression and sustainable, quality-focused production. Guided by a “less is more” philosophy, he favours minimal intervention and deep respect for the soil and vintage, creating clear, distinctive wines that contribute to the continuing development and reputation of the region.
