Wayfarer WF2 Pinot Noir 2021 is a beautifully crafted, estate-grown Pinot Noir that captures the freshness and intensity of California’s West Sonoma Coast. Made in limited quantities, it combines bright energy with a supple, textured feel—an elegant wine that reflects both the character of the site and the precision of the cellar.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Pinot Noir shows a vibrant, inviting profile with lifted red and dark berry fruit. Boysenberry and cherry lead the nose, followed by delicate rose petal notes that add fragrance and finesse. The palate is seductive and layered, with impressive depth balanced by crisp cranberry-like acidity. Coastal freshness gives the wine a lively tension on the finish, while the texture remains polished and richly expressive. It is drinking beautifully now, but will continue to evolve and open further over the next few years.

Production
WF2 is made entirely from estate-grown fruit sourced from Wayfarer’s West Sonoma Coast vineyards, where the cool coastal climate helps preserve freshness and aromatic purity. The grapes are harvested by hand, fully destemmed before pressing, and the wine is aged for 10 months in French oak, including 30% new barrels, to add subtle structure and complexity without overshadowing the fruit.

Food & Serving
This Pinot Noir pairs wonderfully with roast duck, herb-crusted salmon, wild mushroom dishes, or simply a well-made roast chicken. Serve slightly cool, around 14–16°C, and give it a short decant if drinking young to help the aromatics and texture unfold.
