Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows the translucent ruby color typical of finely made Pinot Noir. The nose opens with ripe red cherry, strawberry, and cranberry, layered with orange peel, mushroom, earth, and a subtle smoky note. The palate is vibrant and detailed, with strawberry, cranberry, orange zest, and earthy nuances taking the lead, all lifted by the region’s signature white pepper character. It has the balance and structure to drink beautifully now with air, but it should also reward a few years in bottle as the fruit and savory elements continue to knit together.

Production
This wine is assembled from fruit grown in several Eola-Amity Hills vineyards, including Freedom Hill, Clos des Oiseaux, Sojourner, Prophet, and Justice. The area’s cool, breezy terroir helps preserve freshness and aromatic complexity, while the vineyards contribute depth, concentration, and the mineral-edged character that defines top Oregon Pinot Noir. Winemaker Ken Pahlow crafted the wine to showcase both regional typicity and immediate drinkability.

Serve this Pinot Noir with duck, roast chicken, mushroom risotto, grilled salmon, or dishes featuring root vegetables and herbs. It is best enjoyed slightly cool, around 15–16°C, and while decanting is not essential, giving it some air will help if you’re opening it young.
