Tasting Notes
La Piu Belle typically shows a deep, expressive color in the glass, hinting at concentration and structure. The nose is poised and layered, with dark fruit aromas supported by subtle floral, spicy, and oak-driven nuances. On the palate, the wine is usually supple yet powerful, with ripe black fruit, freshness, fine tannins, and a long, polished finish. It is built for complexity and balance rather than sheer weight, and should age gracefully over the next several years, gaining additional nuance and integration.

Production
The fruit comes from VIK’s Millahue estate, a former wild and overgrown landscape chosen after extensive research for its ideal combination of soils, climate, and exposure. Warm sunny days and cool nights help preserve freshness while developing full phenolic ripeness, and the estate’s focus on sustainable viticulture supports healthy, expressive fruit. Vinification is guided by precision, with a strong emphasis on blending and maturation in French oak, including VIK’s own Barroir technique using locally sourced toasted wood.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs beautifully with grilled beef, roast lamb, venison, mushroom dishes, and richly flavored Mediterranean cuisine. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decant for 30–60 minutes if you want the wine’s aromatics and structure to open up more fully.

Vina Vik Winery was founded in 2004 by Alex and Carrie Vik with the goal of creating one of the world’s great wines. The estate in Millahue became known not only for its exceptional terroir but also for its architecturally iconic, state-of-the-art winery designed by Smiljan Radic. Under the guidance of Chilean winemaker Cristián Vallejo, VIK has earned a strong reputation for elegant, complex blends that showcase Chile at its highest level.
