This combination of rich clay, which lends power and texture, and well-draining gravel, which contributes finesse and aromatic definition, is at the heart of the estate’s signature style. The vines are tended with meticulous care, and harvest is carried out parcel by parcel, often by hand, to ensure optimal ripeness and selection of the berries. In the cellar, the grapes are vinified traditionally, with gentle extraction to preserve purity and finesse, followed by élevage in French oak barrels (a judicious proportion new), allowing the blend—dominated by Merlot with a significant proportion of Cabernet Franc and a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon—to marry and gain complexity without overshadowing the character of the fruit or the terroir.
