Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Barolo shows a luminous garnet hue typical of fine Nebbiolo. The nose is lifted and complex, with floral notes of violet and rose petal layered over wild berries, black cherry, mineral nuances, and a subtle hint of pine. The palate is energetic and pure, with juicy red and dark fruit, fine-grained tannins, and excellent freshness. There is impressive depth beneath the elegance, and the wine’s structure suggests a long life ahead; with proper cellaring, it should develop beautifully over the next 15 to 25 years and beyond.

Production
Bricco delle Viole is one of Barolo’s highest and most distinctive crus, where cooler temperatures and well-exposed slopes help Nebbiolo ripen slowly while preserving aromatic finesse and acidity. Vajra farms organically and harvests by hand, selecting fruit carefully to capture the vineyard’s purity and detail. Vinification is traditional and gentle, followed by 30 to 42 months of maturation in large Slavonian oak casks to support, rather than mask, the character of the site.
