Tasting Notes
In the glass, the wine is translucent ruby-red with the classic brightness expected of Nebbiolo, hinting at elegance rather than power. Aromatically, it opens with crushed flowers, sweet red berries, chalk, mint, and a touch of white pepper, creating a fragrant and layered bouquet. The palate is silky and creamy, with polished tannins framing the wine’s red-fruited core and mineral detail. There is a real sense of energy behind the wine, giving it impressive drive and the promise of further complexity with age. While already highly appealing in youth, this 2021 Barolo should continue to develop gracefully over the coming years.

Production
Berri is a prized Barolo cru in Piedmont, where the vineyard’s terroir helps Nebbiolo develop fragrance, precision, and structure. Trediberri worked with around 30% submerged-cap maceration in 2021, a technique that can encourage gentler extraction and preserve aromatic definition. The wine was then matured for 25 months in oak, allowing the tannins to integrate while keeping the wine’s fine, lifted character intact.

Food & Serving
This Barolo is a natural match for rich Piedmontese dishes such as tajarin with butter and truffle, braised veal, roast lamb, or mushroom risotto. It also works beautifully with aged cheeses and earthy, savory dishes that echo Nebbiolo’s floral and mineral tones. Serve at 16–18°C, and decant for 1–2 hours if drinking young to help the aromatics open fully.
