Production
Treana Blanc is sourced from select vineyard sites in California influenced by cool maritime breezes, particularly from northern and central Monterey County and the Templeton Gap district. These areas share a common thread of cooler temperatures and a strong ocean influence, which help preserve natural acidity and aromatic intensity in Rhône white varieties. Grapes are typically harvested by variety and site at optimal ripeness, then pressed as whole clusters to protect freshness and delicacy. The juice is chilled and allowed to settle before being transferred to French oak barrels for fermentation, with a careful balance of once- and twice-used barrels alongside neutral oak to provide texture without excessive oak flavor. Extended aging on the lees, with periodic stirring, builds richness, mouthfeel and complexity, resulting in a blend that marries California fruit concentration with Rhône-style elegance.
