Tre Generazioni Il Capo 2022 is the most mature and longest oak-aged red wine in the producer’s collection, crafted to represent the character of a true “Capo” — powerful, elegant and commanding. Its augmented-reality label adds a contemporary touch to a wine rooted in the traditions of Puglia, while the early harvest and extended ageing give it a distinctive place among the range.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, Il Capo is expected to show the depth and concentration associated with a full-bodied Puglian red. The extended time in oak contributes aromatic complexity and a polished character, while the palate is designed to balance strength with elegance, offering a rich, structured style and a lingering finish. As a 2022 vintage with substantial oak ageing, the wine should be approachable now, particularly after decanting. Its structure and concentration may also allow it to develop further over the next few years when properly stored.

Production
Produced in Puglia, Il Capo is made from grapes harvested early to preserve balance and freshness before undergoing an extended period of ageing in oak. Specific details regarding the grape variety, vineyard soils, harvest method and vinification are not provided.

Food & Serving
Its powerful, oak-aged style makes Il Capo a natural match for grilled or braised red meats, hearty pasta dishes, aged cheeses and regional Puglian specialities. Serve lightly below room temperature, around 16–18°C. Decant for approximately 30–60 minutes before serving to help open the wine and soften its structured character.
