Tasting Notes

On the palate, this Chardonnay is usually crisp and medium-bodied, balancing clean fruit with refreshing acidity and a refined texture. The finish should feel elegant and focused, with enough structure to make it enjoyable now while also suggesting good short-term aging potential.

Production
The grapes come from the heart of South Tyrol, where vineyard sites benefit from cool alpine nights, plenty of sunshine and well-adapted mountain viticulture. This environment helps preserve freshness and aromatic definition while encouraging slow, even ripening. Cantina Tramin’s production is rooted in the work of around 300 winegrowers, combining traditional farming knowledge with careful modern cellar practice to express the region’s distinctive character.

Food & Serving
This Chardonnay pairs beautifully with roasted chicken, grilled fish, creamy pasta dishes, seafood risotto and mild cheeses. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C for the best balance of aroma and freshness. Decanting is not necessary, but allowing the wine a few minutes in the glass can help its aromas open up.
