Tasting Notes
In the glass, this wine typically shows a deep ruby colour with a lively, youthful edge. The nose is generous and layered, often offering ripe red cherries, blackberries, dried herbs, sweet spice and a subtle touch of cocoa or tobacco from the Ripasso method. On the palate, it is fuller and rounder than a standard Valpolicella, with supple tannins, juicy dark and red fruit, and a pleasing savoury note that adds dimension and length. The finish is harmonious and persistent, with enough structure to age gracefully for several years, gaining additional complexity and softness with time.

Production
Sourced from vineyards in the Valpolicella Classica area of Veneto, this wine reflects the region’s limestone-rich hills and well-drained soils, which help preserve freshness while supporting ripe, concentrated fruit. The grapes are carefully harvested and the wine is then made using the traditional Ripasso technique, where the young Valpolicella is refermented on Amarone grape skins to build texture, colour and aromatic depth before ageing in wood.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for roasted meats, braised beef, game, mushroom risotto and rich pasta dishes, as well as aged cheeses. Serve it at around 16–18°C, and decanting for 30–60 minutes is recommended if you want to open up its aromatic range and soften the structure.
