Tiefenbrunner Turmhof Chardonnay 2023

Tiefenbrunner Turmhof Chardonnay is a refined mountain Chardonnay from Alto Adige that captures both elegance and precision. Grown in the sun-exposed vineyards south of Magrè and in Cortaccia, it balances ripe fruit with a distinctive mineral edge that reflects its Alpine origin and long-standing quality tradition.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows the clean, luminous character typical of Alto Adige whites. The nose opens with balanced aromas of pineapple and banana, layered with subtle notes of freshness and finesse. On the palate, the wine is characterful and well structured, offering a smooth, polished texture and a pleasantly saline finish that gives it real definition. Its combination of fruit, mineral tension, and careful élevage suggests good drinking now, while also allowing for a few years of graceful development.

Production
This 100% Chardonnay comes from vineyards located south of Magrè and in Cortaccia, where the vines benefit from optimal sun exposure and the cooling influence of the surrounding mountain environment. The wine is fermented and matured for ten months, with 50% aged in large oak casks with regular bâtonnage, 25% in concrete tanks, and 25% undergoing malolactic fermentation in tonneaux. After blending, it spends a further two months in concrete and five months in bottle before release.

Food & Serving
This Chardonnay pairs beautifully with rich seafood, roast chicken, creamy pasta dishes, and delicate white meats. Serve it chilled at around 10–12°C, and decanting is not necessary, though a short aeration can help open up the aromas if desired.
