Tiefenbrunner Merus Chardonnay 2025 is a bright and expressive Alto Adige white wine that showcases the precision and elegance for which the region is known. Made entirely from Chardonnay and crafted by the fifth generation of the Tiefenbrunner family, it combines varietal purity with a distinctive Alpine freshness.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a clear, luminous straw-yellow color with subtle green reflections. The nose is inviting and refined, with classic Chardonnay character lifted by notes of wild flowers and a gentle transition into exotic fruit. On the palate, it is lightly spiced, well structured, and pleasantly full-bodied, with a balanced texture and a long, lingering finish. The wine’s fresh profile and depth suggest it will drink beautifully now, while retaining its charm over the next few years.

Production
The wine comes from vineyards in Cortaccia and Magrè in Alto Adige DOC, where the cooler mountain-influenced climate helps preserve freshness and aromatic clarity. After harvest, the Chardonnay is fermented at controlled temperature for 10 days in cement vats, then aged for four months on the lees before bottling, adding roundness and complexity.

Food & Serving
This Chardonnay is a versatile companion to poultry, grilled fish, creamy pasta dishes, risotto, and mild soft cheeses. Serve it well chilled, ideally around 10–12°C, and decanting is not necessary.
