Tasting Notes
In the glass, it is typically pale straw with bright, youthful reflections. On the palate, expect a crisp, medium-bodied white with lively acidity, mineral freshness, and a gentle rounded texture from the Thrapsathiri. Produced in Crete from a field blend of Plyto and Thrapsathiri, this wine draws on vineyards shaped by the island’s warm Mediterranean climate, strong sunshine, and cooling coastal influences. Crete’s varied soils and elevations help preserve freshness and aromatic clarity in indigenous varieties. As a field blend, the grapes are likely harvested together or in close coordination to capture balance between ripeness and acidity, then vinified gently to protect the purity of the fruit and the distinctive character of each grape.
