Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a warm amber-copper hue with polished highlights. The nose is inviting and layered, with dried fruit, sweet oak, honey, vanilla, and a gentle wine-driven note that suggests red berries and dark chocolate. On the palate, it is silky and rounded, opening with soft malt sweetness, orchard fruit, raisins, toasted oak, and subtle spice, before the port influence adds richness and a velvety, slightly vinous finish. The aftertaste is long and graceful, with lingering notes of fruitcake, nutty oak, and warming spice. This whisky has excellent aging character in bottle, though it is already beautifully composed and ready to enjoy.

This 21-year-old expression is finished in port pipes, allowing the whisky to absorb additional layers of fruit, sweetness, and complexity after long maturation in oak. Best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water to open its aromatic layers. No decanting is necessary, but allowing it a few minutes in the glass will help the more delicate fruit and oak notes emerge.
