Terre di San Venanzio Fortunato’s Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore di Cartizze Brut comes from one of the most coveted pockets of the Prosecco world: Cartizze, a tiny DOCG zone of just 106 hectares. This is a refined, terroir-driven sparkling wine from the Veneto, shaped by hillside vineyards, a special microclimate, and the touch of respected Conegliano-Valdobbiadene oenologist Luca Antiga.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a pale straw-yellow color with a delicate stream of fine bubbles and a light, elegant mousse. The nose is fresh and precise, opening with green pear, unripe apple, yuzu, and orange blossom, followed by subtle herbal and vegetal nuances. On the palate, it is dry and lively, with bright citrus tension, crisp orchard fruit, and a distinctly mineral, polished finish. The structure is delicate yet characterful, making it especially appealing for drinking now, though its balance and finesse should allow it to hold well over the next few years.

Production
The Cartizze hills benefit from ideal sun exposure and a unique microclimate, while the vines grow on warm sandstone, moraine deposits, and clay subsoil that helps retain moisture in drier periods. The Glera grapes are harvested from this exceptional cru site and vinified to preserve freshness, aromatic purity, and the wine’s fine sparkling character.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled at around 6–8°C. This Brut pairs beautifully with seafood appetizers, delicate shellfish, light vegetable dishes, sushi, and salty canapés, and it is also an excellent aperitif. Decanting is not recommended; simply open and enjoy while the bubbles are at their most vibrant.
