Terlano Pinot Nero Tradition 2025

Terlano Pinot Nero Tradition is a poised, elegant Pinot Noir from the cool Alpine slopes of Trentino-Alto Adige, crafted by the historic Cantina Terlano. Made from 100% Pinot Noir and aged in large oak casks, it combines bright fruit, subtle spice, and the refined mineral character that has made Terlano a benchmark for the region since 1893.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright light red hue that ranges from ruby to cinnabar. The nose is fresh and inviting, with aromas of blackberry, blueberry, cherry liqueur, licorice, and a delicate hint of undergrowth. The palate is marked by a lovely balance between generous fruit and a light tannic framework, giving the wine both structure and finesse. Mineral notes run through the finish, adding precision and length. While already expressive, it should also benefit from a short period of cellaring if you enjoy Pinot Noir with a little more complexity and softness.

This Pinot Noir comes from Trentino-Alto Adige, where cool climate conditions and mountain-influenced terroir help preserve freshness, aromatics, and elegance. The wine is produced by Cantina Terlano and matured for seven months in large wooden casks, a gentle élevage that supports the varietal character without overwhelming the wine’s delicate profile.

Food & Serving
Serve this wine slightly chilled, ideally at 14–16°C, to best highlight its freshness and aromatic detail. It pairs beautifully with roast poultry, veal, mushroom risotto, grilled salmon, or dishes with earthy flavors such as truffle and porcini. Decanting is not essential, but a short aeration can help open the aromas if served young.
