Tenute Orestiadi Kemar 2025 is a fresh, elegant still white wine showcasing Catarratto Bianco Comune, one of Sicily’s most emblematic native grapes. With its distinctive saline character, mineral freshness and balanced structure, it offers an authentic taste of the island’s Mediterranean identity and the Belìce Valley.

Tasting Notes
Bright straw yellow with delicate green reflections, this Sicilian white opens with a lively, fruit-driven bouquet of ripe peach, almond and orange blossom. The palate is fresh and well structured, combining gentle fruitiness with a pronounced yet harmonious salinity and a subtle mineral edge. Its balance and freshness make it best enjoyed young, while the wine’s structure allows it to develop gracefully over the short term.

Production
The grapes are cultivated in the rolling hills of the Belìce Valley near Gibellina, at elevations of approximately 350–500 metres. The dry microclimate supports even ripening while preserving natural acidity, while pale, moderately compact soils rich in limestone and gypsum contribute to the wine’s mineral and saline character. Catarratto is harvested by hand from early to mid-September, with the best bunches selected for gentle pressing. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by approximately three months of maturation and a further resting period before release.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled at 8–12°C. Kemar is a natural partner for seafood, shellfish and oysters, as well as grilled fish, light fried dishes and delicate appetisers. Its refreshing salinity also makes it an excellent aperitif wine. Decanting is not necessary, although allowing the wine a few minutes in the glass can reveal more of its floral and mineral character.

Tenute Orestiadi is based in Gibellina, in the heart of Sicily’s Belìce Valley, and draws inspiration from the area’s artistic and cultural renaissance following the 1968 earthquake. Under the direction of oenologist Giuseppe Clementi, the estate works across approximately 140 hectares of vineyards, translating Sicily’s native varieties and distinctive terroirs into expressive wines. Kemar is part of this vision: a Sicilia DOC wine that connects Mediterranean tradition, local geology and the region’s enduring creative spirit.
