Tenuta La Fiammenga’s Piemonte Monor Bianco 2022 is a refined white wine from the historic hills of Monferrato, combining fresh fruit with the depth and texture gained from oak ageing. Its character reflects the estate’s distinctive heritage, where Flemish and Italian influences have shaped a centuries-old wine tradition dating back to 1596.

Tasting Notes
The wine opens with complex aromas of white flowers, bright citrus fruit and subtle spice. On the palate, its fruit-driven profile is supported by a harmonious, enveloping texture from the wood ageing, developing into elegant notes of honey and warm spice. The balance between freshness and richness makes it enjoyable now, while careful cellaring over the next few years should allow its honeyed and spicy nuances to develop further.

Production
The grapes are grown in the clay-rich heart of Monferrato, an area known for its rolling hills and distinctive soils. Following a period of cold maceration, the wine undergoes fermentation partly in stainless-steel tanks. It is then matured partly in barriques and partly in 500-litre tonneaux, combining freshness and precision with added complexity and a rounded, well-integrated structure.

Food & Serving
Serve lightly chilled at approximately 10–12°C to bring out both its floral freshness and subtle oak character. It pairs well with seafood, shellfish, roast poultry, creamy pasta dishes and risotto, as well as moderately mature cheeses. Decanting is not essential, although allowing the wine to breathe briefly in the glass can help reveal its layered aromas and spice notes.
