Tenuta Iuzzolini’s Prima Fila Pecorello 2025 is a bright expression of Calabria, made from the native Pecorello grape and shaped by a clear focus on local tradition. Tasting Notes
Pale straw yellow in the glass, it opens with inviting aromas of yellow stone fruit, ripe orchard fruit, and a subtle tropical edge. The palate is soft and rounded, with juicy fruit, gentle freshness, and a smooth, easy-drinking texture that makes it immediately appealing. While charming young for its vibrancy and fruit purity, it should also hold nicely over the next couple of years, developing a little more complexity and softness in bottle.

Production
The grapes come from Tenuta Iuzzolini’s Calabria vineyards, where native varieties are central to the estate’s identity and the Mediterranean climate helps preserve ripeness and aromatic expression. Pecorello is harvested by hand in mid-August, then fermented and aged for a few months in stainless steel to protect its freshness and fruit character.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs well with grilled fish, seafood pasta, light risottos, fresh salads, and soft cheeses. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C, and decanting is not necessary.

Tenuta Iuzzolini was founded in 2004 by Fortunato Iuzzolini and his wife Giovanna with the aim of producing quality wines that honor Calabria’s long winemaking heritage. The estate combines a modern cellar with a traditional approach to the region’s native grapes, and its on-site museum and classic winery architecture reflect a deep respect for history and local culture.
