Tasting Notes
Deep and intense in the glass, with a concentrated, polished appearance that hints at its rich style. The nose is expressive and layered, offering ripe vanilla, spicy notes and balsamic nuances that unfold with time in the glass. On the palate, it is warm, velvety and full-bodied, with impressive complexity and a long, persistent finish. The 24 months of oak aging give it structure and depth, and the wine should continue to develop well over the next several years.

Production
Paternum comes from Tenuta Iuzzolini’s 100 hectares of vineyards in Calabria, an area once among Italy’s most celebrated wine regions. The estate focuses mainly on indigenous varieties such as greco bianco, gaglioppo and magliocco, combining local identity with modern cellar equipment to enhance purity and consistency. The winery itself is built in a traditional style, and the estate also includes a museum of centuries-old objects, underlining the family’s respect for the region’s winemaking history.

Food & Serving
This is a wine that pairs beautifully with grilled red meats, roast lamb, braised dishes and richly seasoned Mediterranean fare. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 1–2 hours to allow the aromas and texture to open fully.
