Tenuta di Fessina’s Etna Rosato Erse is a stylish, organic rosé shaped by one of Italy’s most distinctive wine regions. Born on the volcanic slopes of Etna, it brings together Nerello Cappuccio and Nerello Mascalese in a wine that reflects both place and purity, with a lively, mineral-driven character.
Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a delicate pale rosé tone with a clean, luminous appearance. The bouquet opens with black cherry, pomegranate, and a subtle hint of honey, giving way to an inviting freshness.
On the palate, it is crisp, mineral, and slightly spicy, with bright fruit and a precise, refreshing finish. Its structure and tension give it more complexity than a typical rosé, making it enjoyable young while still capable of holding its charm over the next couple of years.
Production
Produced in Etna DOC from organically farmed vineyards on volcanic soils, this rosé captures the energy and saltiness of its terroir. The Nerello Cappuccio and Nerello Mascalese grapes are harvested with care to preserve freshness and aromatic precision, then vinified to emphasize delicacy, vibrancy, and the clean expression of fruit and mineral notes.
Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for grilled seafood, prawns, tuna carpaccio, Mediterranean salads, and light pasta dishes, as well as creamy cheeses or antipasti. Serve well chilled at around 8-10°C, and decanting is not necessary.
