Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a bright ruby-red color with a graceful, translucent depth. The nose is lifted and refined, with aromas of red cherry, wild strawberry, dried herbs, and smoky volcanic nuances, while the palate is fresh, silky, and finely structured with lively acidity and a mineral finish. The blend brings together the perfume and tension of Etna’s native varieties, giving the wine both charm and precision. Production
Erse Etna Rosso comes from vineyards on the volcanic soils of Mount Etna in eastern Sicily, where altitude, cool nights, and mineral-rich terroir shape a distinctly elegant style of red wine. Serve it slightly cool, around 16–18°C, and decant briefly if you’d like the aromas to open up further, though it can also be enjoyed straight from the bottle.
