Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby-red color with the first signs of graceful aging. The bouquet is layered and expressive, with ripe red and dark fruit, warm spices, tobacco, and a subtle earthy note that speaks to its time in oak and bottle. On the palate, it is full-bodied yet refined, with silky tannins, balanced acidity, and a long, persistent finish. The wine has developed beautifully over time and is now at an age where complexity and finesse take center stage, though its structure still suggests it can continue to evolve for a little longer under ideal cellaring conditions.

Produced in the heart of Montalcino in Tuscany, this Brunello comes from carefully selected Sangiovese grapes grown in one of Italy’s most respected wine regions. The 1997 vintage was harvested by hand and aged in oak barrels, allowing the wine to gain complexity, polish its tannins, and develop the mature aromatic profile it shows today.

Best served at around 18°C, this Brunello is an excellent match for red meats, game dishes, and mature cheeses. If the bottle has been stored for many years, opening it a little before serving or decanting gently can help the aromas fully unfold.
