Description

Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Rosé 2013 is one of the house’s most prestigious cuvées, crafted only in exceptional years and prized for its finesse, precision, and depth. Made in the legendary Champagne region, it reflects Taittinger’s elegant style while standing out for its rarity and long ageing potential.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a refined salmon-pink hue with a delicate, persistent mousse. The nose is expressive and layered, with red berry fruit, citrus zest, floral notes, and subtle brioche and spice from extended cellar ageing. On the palate, this rosé Champagne is known for its vibrant structure, silky texture, and superb balance between freshness and richness. Expect flavours of wild strawberry, raspberry, blood orange, and chalk-driven minerality, finishing long and precise. It is built for graceful evolution and can age beautifully over many years.

Production
Comtes de Champagne Rosé is produced from carefully selected grapes sourced from top vineyard sites in Champagne, with an emphasis on chalk-rich terroirs that bring freshness and tension. The vintage 2013 benefited from a cool, late-ripening season, helping preserve acidity and aromatic clarity. As with the house’s finest cuvées, the wine is crafted with meticulous vinification and extended cellar maturation to achieve complexity and refinement.

Food & Serving
This is an exceptional Champagne for refined dishes such as lobster, tuna tartare, duck breast, salmon with beetroot, or delicate Asian cuisine with a touch of spice. Serve well chilled, ideally at 8–10°C, and consider brief decanting only if you want to open up its aromas further, though it is usually best enjoyed directly from the bottle.

Producer
Taittinger is one of Champagne’s most respected family houses, founded in 1734 and long associated with elegance, finesse, and Chardonnay-driven style. Based in Reims, it has built a strong reputation for producing some of the region’s most celebrated prestige cuvées, including the iconic Comtes de Champagne range. The house remains a benchmark for classic Champagne craftsmanship and refinement.
