Description
Suavia’s Recioto di Soave DOCG Acinatium is a beautifully expressive dessert wine from one of Soave’s most respected family estates. Made in the traditional sweet style of the region, it combines richness and freshness in a way that makes it both indulgent and remarkably elegant.
Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a bright golden hue with inviting depth. The nose is layered and fragrant, often suggesting ripe stone fruit, honey, candied citrus peel, and delicate floral notes.
On the palate, Acinatium is lush and silky, with concentrated sweetness balanced by the mineral-driven freshness that Soave is known for. Expect flavors of dried apricot, peach compote, acacia honey, and a subtle almond-like finish, with enough acidity to keep the wine lively and focused. It has the structure to age gracefully, developing more complex notes of dried fruit, caramel, and spice over time.
Production
Produced from carefully selected grapes destined for the traditional Recioto style, this wine reflects the limestone and volcanic soils of the Soave area, which contribute tension and minerality to the finished wine. The fruit is typically harvested by hand and dried before vinification to concentrate sugar, flavor, and aromatic intensity. Fermentation is then stopped before all the sugar is converted, preserving the wine’s signature sweetness and balance.
Food & Serving
Serve slightly chilled, ideally around 10–12°C. It pairs beautifully with almond pastries, fruit tarts, blue cheese, foie gras, and classic Italian desserts such as panettone or dry biscuits. Decanting is usually not necessary, though a short rest in the glass can help the aromas unfold.
