Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby color that hints at its concentration and structure. The nose is layered and inviting, opening with blackcurrant and ripe black cherry before moving into cedar, spice, tobacco, and a subtle cocoa nuance. The palate is full-bodied yet polished, with silky tannins and a strong sense of harmony. Intense dark fruit is supported by fresh acidity and a refined frame, leading to a long, graceful finish. While already impressive now, this vintage has excellent aging potential and should gain even more complexity over the coming years.

Production
The fruit comes from Spottswoode’s estate vineyards in Napa Valley, where careful vineyard stewardship is central to the style and quality of the wine. The grapes are harvested with great attention to ripeness and balance, then fermented and matured in French oak barrels to build structure, texture, and aromatic complexity.

This is a natural match for grilled ribeye, roast lamb, braised short ribs, or game dishes, as well as aged hard cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for at least 1–2 hours if drinking young to allow the wine to खुल fully and show its layered aromatics.
