Tasting Notes
In the glass, this 2018 vintage shows a deep, inky ruby color that hints at its concentration. The nose is layered and expressive, unfolding with blackcurrant, dark cherry, violet, graphite, and a whisper of spice from French oak. On the palate, it is structured yet polished, with ripe dark fruit, vibrant acidity, and finely woven tannins creating impressive balance. The wine feels luxurious and focused, finishing long and silky with lingering notes of cassis, earth, and subtle cedar. While already compelling after decanting, it has excellent aging potential and should develop beautifully over many years.

Spottswoode’s estate vineyard in St. Helena benefits from Napa Valley’s warm, sun-drenched climate balanced by cooling influences that help preserve freshness and aromatic lift. The fruit is organically and biodynamically farmed, with careful vineyard work aimed at naturally low yields and exceptional fruit concentration. After harvest, the wine is vinified with a focus on purity and structure, then aged for 20 months in French oak barrels to build depth, texture, and refinement.

Food & Serving
This Cabernet Sauvignon pairs beautifully with rich dishes such as grilled ribeye, lamb, short ribs, duck, or roasted mushrooms. It also works well with aged hard cheeses and savory herb-driven cuisine. Serve at 16–18°C, and decant for at least 1–2 hours if opening young to allow the wine to fully раскрыться and soften its tannins.
