Sella & Mosca’s Vermentino Sardegna Ambat is a beautifully expressive white that captures the sun, sea, and character of Sardinia in one glass. Made from 100% Vermentino, it stands out for its blend of freshness, elegance, and subtle complexity, with a style that has made Vermentino one of the island’s signature grapes.

Tasting Notes
Pale straw-yellow in the glass, it opens with an inviting aromatic profile of white flowers, exotic fruit, white almond, and a delicate hint of anise. The palate is generous yet refined, combining bright freshness with a rounded texture and a distinct savory, maritime edge. The finish is crisp, spicy, and sun-kissed, leaving a lasting impression of balance and personality. While enjoyable now for its vibrancy, it also has the structure to evolve gracefully over a short period in bottle.

Production
This Vermentino is crafted from carefully selected grapes grown in Sardinia, where the island’s coastal influence, warm sunshine, and mineral-rich soils help shape the wine’s distinctive character. The grapes undergo soft pressing and cold static settling before fermentation in stainless steel at 18°C. A small portion is briefly aged in lightly toasted barriques, adding an extra layer of nuance before short bottle aging.

Food & Serving
A natural match for grilled or baked fish, shellfish, lobster, seafood pasta, and Mediterranean dishes with herbs or citrus. It also pairs well with soft cheeses and light vegetarian fare. Best served chilled, around 8–10°C, and does not require decanting.
