Tasting Notes
Sassicaia typically shows a deep ruby color with youthful brightness in the glass. The nose is layered and precise, often opening with blackcurrant, cherry, cedar, graphite, and Mediterranean herbs, with subtle floral and savory accents adding complexity. On the palate, it is known for its fine tannins, fresh acidity, and excellent balance between concentration and finesse. Expect dark berry fruit, mineral tension, spice, and a long, polished finish. Sassicaia has outstanding aging potential and will continue to evolve beautifully over many years.

Production
Produced in Bolgheri on the Tuscan coast, Sassicaia benefits from a unique terroir of well-drained soils, maritime influence, and warm days balanced by cooling sea breezes. The grapes are carefully harvested to preserve freshness and precision, then vinified with an emphasis on purity, structure, and elegance.

Food & Serving
Sassicaia pairs beautifully with fine cuts of beef, roast lamb, game, and truffle-based dishes, as well as aged hard cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C. Decanting is recommended, especially for younger vintages, to allow the wine to open and show its full aromatic depth.
