Description
Sartori Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Corte Bra Riserva 2017 is a powerful, traditional Amarone from the historic heart of Valpolicella Classico in Veneto. Made by Casa Sartori 1898 from the classic local blend of Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and a touch of Oseleta, it offers the richness, depth and precision that have made Amarone one of Italy’s most celebrated wines.
Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Amarone typically shows a deep garnet to ruby core with impressive concentration and viscosity. The bouquet is layered and expressive, with aromas of dried cherries, black plum, figs, sweet spices, cocoa, tobacco and hints of leather and balsamic notes.
On the palate, it is full-bodied and velvety, with ripe dark fruit, dried berries, spice and a firm structural backbone that keeps the wine balanced despite its generosity. The finish is long, warm and persistent, with excellent aging potential; well-stored bottles can continue to evolve beautifully for many years, gaining complexity and nuance.
Production
Sourced from the Classico zone of Valpolicella in Veneto, this wine reflects the region’s hillside vineyards and the character of its limestone- and clay-influenced soils. Amarone production traditionally relies on carefully selected grapes, harvested by hand and left to dry in well-ventilated conditions to concentrate flavor and sugar before fermentation. The result is a wine built for richness, intensity and depth, with the Riserva designation suggesting extended maturation before release.
Food & Serving
This is a classic wine for rich, flavorful dishes such as braised short ribs, roast game, venison, aged hard cheeses and hearty mushroom-based plates. It is best served at around 16–18°C, and decanting for one to two hours is recommended to allow the aromas and texture to खुल fully open, especially in its youth.

Casa Sartori 1898 is one of the longstanding names in Veneto wine, with roots going back more than a century and a reputation for crafting wines that balance regional tradition with broad appeal. The estate is closely associated with Valpolicella and Amarone, and over the years it has become a respected producer known for consistency, quality and a strong presence in the region’s premium wine scene.
