Sourced from selected Barolo hillsides and shaped by careful vineyard selection, it reflects both the historic journey of Barbera from Monferrato to Langa and the elegance of modern Piedmont winemaking.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a vivid ruby color with youthful brightness. The nose is layered with ripe red and black cherries, plum, violet, and subtle spice, with a discreet touch of oak adding warmth and definition. On the palate, Barbera’s natural freshness gives the wine lift and energy, while Sandrone’s élevage brings extra texture, roundness, and harmony. Expect juicy dark fruit, lively acidity, polished tannins, and a long, balanced finish. With its structure and balance, this wine should age gracefully for several years, developing greater complexity and savoury depth over time.

Production
The grapes come from seven Barbera vineyard sites on the hills of Barolo, where marl-rich, compact soils and favorable sun exposure help Barbera achieve ripeness and concentration. Each parcel is hand-harvested and vinified separately to preserve the character of its origin, before the wines are blended into the final cuvée. The wine then matures for 15 months in wooden vessels, especially new ones, which help integrate the grape’s natural structure and enhance balance without overshadowing its fruit.

Food & Serving
This is a versatile food wine that pairs beautifully with rich Italian dishes such as pasta with ragù, tajarin with truffle, roasted poultry, grilled meats, and aged cheeses. Serve it at 16–18°C, and decanting is recommended if opened young to allow the wine’s aromatics and texture to fully open.
