San Marzano Tramari Rosé di Primitivo 2025 is a fresh and elegant rosé from Puglia, made exclusively from Primitivo grapes. Its pale colour, Mediterranean character and excellent balance make it a refined choice for warm-weather drinking and versatile food pairing. The wine reflects the long-standing winemaking traditions of the Primitivo di Manduria area, where Primitivo has been cultivated for generations.

Tasting Notes
The wine displays a delicate, pale rosé colour. On the nose, it offers an intense and persistent Mediterranean bouquet, with aromas of wild maquis, ripe cherries and fresh raspberries. The palate is lively and refreshing, combining elegant red-fruit flavours with a well-balanced structure and a clean, pleasing finish. Tramari is best enjoyed young, while its freshness and aromatic brightness are at their most expressive. It is not intended for extended ageing, although careful cellaring may preserve its character for a short period.

Production
The Primitivo grapes are grown in Puglia, between the Ionian and Adriatic Seas, where the vineyards benefit from a warm Mediterranean climate and distinctive red soils. The region’s challenging conditions—including drought, occasional frost and the sirocco wind—contribute to concentrated yet elegant fruit. After a short period of skin maceration, part of the Primitivo must is drawn off and fermented separately. The wine is then matured in stainless-steel tanks to preserve its freshness, colour and varietal character.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled at approximately 10–12°C. This versatile rosé is an excellent match for antipasti, fish soups, grilled fish and fish cooked en papillote. Its freshness also complements fresh cheeses and mildly matured cheeses. Decanting is not necessary; simply chill the bottle and serve soon after opening.
