San Marzano, TiAmo Vermentino 2025 White

San Marzano TiAmo Vermentino 2025 is a fresh and elegant white wine from Puglia, made entirely from Vermentino. Originally introduced for Valentine’s Day, with its first bottling in 2018, it has since become a popular choice throughout the year, offering a graceful expression of the Mediterranean coast and Puglia’s distinctive terroir.

Tasting Notes
The wine has a bright straw-yellow colour. Its delicate bouquet combines white flowers with fresh citrus, pear and aromatic Mediterranean herbs such as thyme and rosemary. On the palate, it is crisp, mineral and refined, with a soft texture and a persistent, elegant finish. Thanks to its freshness and aromatic character, the 2025 vintage is best enjoyed young, while its lively fruit and mineral notes are at their most expressive.

Production
The Vermentino grapes grow in predominantly sandy soils in Puglia, between the Ionian and Adriatic Seas. The region’s Mediterranean climate, shaped by intense sun, drought and the Sirocco wind, contributes to the grapes’ concentration and freshness. The grapes are destemmed before pressing and undergo a short cold maceration on the skins to enhance their delicate floral aromas. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks for 13–15 days at controlled temperatures, followed by approximately five months of maturation in steel tanks.

Food & Serving
Serve chilled at 10–12°C. TiAmo Vermentino is well suited to light starters, seafood, shellfish, salads and Mediterranean appetisers, and it also pairs beautifully with fresh and mild cheeses. Decanting is not necessary; simply allow the wine a few minutes in the glass to reveal its floral and herbal aromas.

Cantine San Marzano was founded in 1962, when 19 local winegrowers joined forces in the heart of Puglia.
