Salariis Wines, Friulano 2024 White

Salariis Friulano 2024 is a fresh, elegant Italian white wine that showcases the naturally expressive character of Friulano. Created by wine friends Fabio and Luigi, the Salariis project combines winemaking expertise from Veneto with a deep connection to the Friuli region and its distinctive alpine-and-coastal influences.

Tasting Notes
Bright and pale in appearance, this Friulano is expected to offer a fresh, inviting nose shaped by delicate orchard-fruit and floral aromas. On the palate, look for a balanced combination of crisp acidity, ripe fruit and a lightly rounded texture, with the freshness and elegance that define the Salariis style. The 2024 vintage is best enjoyed for its youthful vibrancy and fruit-driven character. While it should drink beautifully now, its freshness may allow it to develop additional softness and complexity over the short term when carefully stored.

Production
The Salariis vineyards benefit from the natural setting between the Julian Alps and the Adriatic Sea, whose contrasting influences help bring freshness, complexity and elegance to the wines. The estate produces Friulano alongside Ribolla Gialla, Refosco, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Grigio. Around 10% of Salariis wines are aged for four months in small barrels to add subtle complexity on the palate while preserving the fresh, fruity aromas; specific harvesting and vinification details for this bottling are not provided.

Food & Serving
Serve chilled at approximately 8–10°C. Salariis Friulano is a natural match for seafood, shellfish, grilled fish, light pasta dishes, risotto, fresh cheeses and delicate antipasti. It can be enjoyed without decanting; opening the bottle shortly before serving is sufficient, although a brief period in the glass can allow its aromas to unfold.

Producer
Salariis Wines was founded by Fabio and Luigi, two friends united by a passion for wine and the Friuli landscape. Fabio trained at the Oenological School of Conegliano and is also part of the family winery Ca' di Rajo in Veneto, while Luigi studied economics in the United States before working in Europe’s food and beverage sector. The name Salariis pays tribute to Borgo Salariis in Treppo Grande, Udine, and reflects the founders’ commitment to protecting the area’s forests, waterways and wildlife. The project produces approximately 200,000 bottles annually while maintaining a strong focus on quality, freshness and regional character.
