Tasting Notes
In the glass, expect a deep ruby color with purple reflections. The nose is lifted and expressive, with notes of blackberries, black cherries, violets, cracked pepper, and a subtle smoky mineral edge. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and focused, combining dark berry fruit with savory spice, fine tannins, and a bright, fresh line of acidity. The finish is long and elegant, with more pepper, graphite, and floral notes emerging as it opens. While approachable in youth, it should develop additional complexity over the next 5–8 years, gaining earthier and more layered nuances.

Production
Saint-Joseph in the Northern Rhône is known for steep granite and schist slopes that give Syrah its tension, spice, and mineral drive. Grapes are typically harvested by hand to preserve fruit quality on these difficult vineyards, and vinification is carried out with care to emphasize purity, structure, and the wine’s expressive regional character.
