Ruota Libera Primitivo 2024 is a vibrant red wine from southern Puglia, created by a close-knit group of friends with a shared passion for the region’s wines. Made from Primitivo, one of Puglia’s signature varieties, it reflects the warmth, generosity and rounded character associated with the area. The name Ruota Libera pays tribute to Locorotondo—literally “the round town”—a reference echoed in both the wine’s style and its distinctive circular label design.

The 2024 vintage is expected to show the ripe, fruit-driven profile typical of Puglian Primitivo, with a deep ruby appearance and inviting aromas of dark berries, ripe plum and cherries. Production
All the fruit used for Ruota Libera wines comes from vineyards in southern Puglia. Winemaker Benedetto and his assistant Nicolo oversee the vineyards and vinification, while the wider Ruota Libera team brings together local knowledge, enthusiasm and a strong sense of place. Specific details regarding the vineyard sites, harvesting methods and cellar techniques have not been provided.

Food & Serving
Serve Ruota Libera Primitivo at approximately 16–18°C. Its ripe fruit and rounded structure make it a natural match for grilled and roasted meats, hearty pasta dishes, pizza, burgers and mature cheeses. Ruota Libera is a new Puglian wine project founded by a close group of friends from southern Italy. Their combined love of the region’s wines inspired them to create a range featuring Primitivo, a Rosso blend and an Appassimento. Benedetto and Nicolo are responsible for the vineyards and winemaking, supported by Valentina, Francesco, Davide and Domenico. The project takes its name and visual identity from Locorotondo, celebrating the rounded character associated with both the town and the wines.
